EducationCity is a great site for Math, Language Arts and Science practiced. It is set to the Indiana Standards. This site is available to the students to practice at home. Each student must have a password to get in. Please let Mrs. Mowery know if you would like this password. A letter was sent home earlier but there were only a few responses. National Library of Virtual Manipulatives provides interactive online math lessons, activities, and assessments. Topics include the fractions, functions, geometric transformations, integer arithmetic, patterns and sequences, probability, right triangle trigonometry, slope, triangle geometry, and writing equations of lines. Kids Numbers is the absolutelyfree math resource designed by teachers, specifically for students and children of all ages. A place where students can practice all aspects of math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in a fun and pressure free way. Math Foundations is a cutting edge, free 12 week program that will help build the foundation your student need to do well in Kindergarten.

Odd/Even gives student good practice on odd and even numbers.

Language Arts

Spelling City – an excellent program for students to practice their spelling (a letter was sent home regarding this with instructions). All spelling lists for students in grades 1-6 have been put on this site. A copy of the letter is on the Week at a Glance page of this website.

ABCya! is a new and exciting way for elementary students to learn on the web. All educational games and activities were created by teachers for kids! Activities are modeled from primary grade lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way to learn. Below you will find links to interactive games separated by grade level. The lessons incorporate content areas such as math and reading while introducing basic computer skills. Many of the kindergarten and first grade games are equipped with sound to enhance understanding. While sound is not required, it can greatly improve preliterate students understanding.
